Dr. Hilka Schneider

Dr. Hilka Schneider joined AkzoNobel in January 2022 as General Counsel and member of the Executive Committee.

Hilka studied law in Germany, France and the US and started her professional career 2000 at a renowned international law firm as a specialist in Corporate Finance/Mergers & Acquisitions. In 2005, she joined the international logistics company DHL as Senior Legal Counsel and moved on to become in 2008 General Counsel, Chief Compliance Officer and in 2013 also as Chief of Staff of the international crane manufacturer Demag Cranes/Terex.

From 2014 to 2021, Hilka was Group Director Legal, Compliance & Board Office and Member of the Executive Committee of the international travel company TUI. Over the course of her career, she also served as non-executive director of various group companies.
