Joëlle Boxus

Joëlle Boxus joined AkzoNobel as Chief Human Resources Officer in March 2020.

A Belgian citizen, Joëlle was educated in Belgium and the Netherlands. After starting her career as consultant with Robert Walters and Ernst and Young, she moved to Kraft Foods in 2005 before taking a global HR Director role for Cargill Cocoa and Chocolate.

In 2013, Joëlle joined AkzoNobel as global HR leader for the Specialty Chemicals division. She managed the separation of Specialty Chemicals before becoming part of the Executive Committee of the newly established company. In 2018, Joëlle returned to Belgium for the role of Chief Human Resources Officer of Etex before rejoining to AkzoNobel.
