Nashville Mayor’s Youth Council activates first AkzoNobel Human Cities Project

Nashville, TN, October, 2017 – Students from the Nashville Mayor’s Youth Council, volunteers from AkzoNobel, local artist Andee Rudloff and festival attendees worked together to create a 40-foot mural entitled Unity, which will be featured outside Nashville’s Parthenon Museum.

Tribute to Johan Cruyff unveiled in Amsterdam

Mrs. Cruyff revealed a mural of famous Dutch footballer Johan Cruyff, together with Amsterdam Mayor van der Laan and representatives of the Cruyff Legacy in Amsterdam. The location of the mural is full of symbolism, as it is in the area of the old Ajax stadium and opposite the neighborhood of Betondorp, where Cruyff grew up. Read more>

Adding colour to the lives of Children with learning disabilities

Early March, we added color to the lives of children at the ‘Association of Early Intervention for Children with Disability’ in Muscat, Oman. As part of the program, we donated special equipment and toys that improve sensory perception through sound, feeling and movement. Over 40 employees volunteered to spend time with the children, engaging them in role playing, motor skill development toys and painting.  Read more>

We are joining forces with SOS Children's Villages to use education and renovation to drive a positive impact on youth unemployment. The partnership aims to reach the young people of SOS Children's Villages with our "Let's Colour" program and professional training through AkzoNobel's painter academies around the world.
