Purpose of the Role
AkzoNobel Coatings division is entering an exciting journey of digital transformation, aiming at delivering best in class experiences and services to our customers around the world. Global Digital and E-Commerce team plays a vital role and leading this transformation by designing end to end customer experience journeys, develop omni-channel strategies, digital products, services and executing digital activation campaigns that support the business goals and ensuring customer satisfaction and optimized conversions across all touchpoints.
In this role you will be part of a team of global digital business leads and you will be responsible to drive the digital transformation agenda and digital product ownership in one or more of the Coatings Business Units: Marine & Protective, Automotive and Specialty Coatings, Industrial Coatings (Metal and Wood) and Powder.
In that context your mission will be to:
• Drive digital dominance for our Coatings brands
• Drive brand and profitability growth by best in class digital executions for the coatings BUs
• Drive digital transformation agenda
• Develop digital capabilities and ROS-performance driven marketers

Key Objectives/Principal Accountabilities
- Drive the digital transformation agenda and manage the digital ecosystem ( paid, owned, earned, social, services, tech) for one or more of coatings BUs
- Design and optimize end to end customer experiences and journeys based on data driven decision making
- Drive acquisition, retention strategies and executions by implementing multichannel digital activations across paid, owned, earned and social channels
- Be a senior product owner and manage the quality, execution and strategic impact of respective digital assets (websites, apps, services) globally
- Build digital capabilities (CRM, Data, Analytics, Content, Media, e-com) -together with our global experts- to support the defined digital business strategies
- Ensure the best practice integration of digital media and channels into global brand and sales strategies, execution plans and end-to-end customer experiences
- Ensure digital execution excellency and effectiveness of commercial spend, supporting BUs digital and brand teams to implement best in class digital commerce activations
- Drive profitability and operational excellence by real time evaluation and optimization of digital commerce activities
- Develop customer data research, analytics and insights to drive effective decision making
- Commercial Digital Innovation: test, learn and scale new and disruptive ways of marketing and sales to delight our customers and drive market share and profitable growth
- Develop ROS-performance marketing capabilities to our coatings BUs marketing teams

Job requirements/Candidate profile

- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in business, marketing, communication or related field

- 5+ years in senior digital, marketing or e-com roles

- Solid understanding and track record in digital commerce strategy, customer experience journeys, digital campaigns (paid, owned, earned, social) and digital services

- Experience of delivering digital projects and activities through agency partners

- Can work autonomously and also as part of multi-disciplinary teams

- Knowledge and experience of the global coatings market and B2B marketing is an extra

- High level of coaching, communication and leadership skills

- Strong organizational and task management skills with the ability to multi-task, manage deadlines and successfully lead a team in a fast-paced changing environment

- Creative, self-motivated and detail-oriented with the ability to use independent judgment, analyse information, identify trends and develop adopted strategies

- Proven experience of stakeholder management, managing by influence and leading cross- functional teams
