At AkzoNobel, we recognize the important role our Customer Service Representatives have as they are the interface between the company and the customer.
 
We are implementing a Customer Service Representative Development Program for representatives located at our Marine and Protective Coatings facility in Houston.  This program is designed to recruit qualified applicants who will participate in a two-year rotational cycle and will work in a variety of customer service related positions that will include:
- Account Administration/Set Up Specialist

- Local Distribution Center (LDC) Associate

- Customer Order Service (COS) Representative


This program will develop candidate’s skill set to provide the background and training for a career in Customer Service, Sales and Marketing as well as other departments in AkzoNobel.  Position overviews for the program are listed below.
 
Account Administration Specialist
This position will support Customer Service, Sales and Commercial functions in account set up, pricing, management and monitoring.  This position will also support the business with maintaining manual pricing controls and will offer discretionary support in customer evaluation and market/product pricing.
 
Responsibilities will include:

- Managing new account set ups, customer profile management and customer profile maintenance.

- Data entry of customer account information, price lists and pricing terms into MFG-Pro for both Marine and PC Customers.

- Managing the pricing process to ensure margin management targets are achieved.  Will escalate concerns to pricing management team.

- Working within the parameters required for the management and monitoring of customer tax certificates.

- Assisting in pricing and margin analysis for Commercial Managers.

- Managing vendor forms.

- Providing manual price overrides for the Customer Service and Sales Teams

Customer Order Service (COS) Representative
The Customer Order Service (COS) Representative is expected to own an order from start to finish and be able to escalate concerns as required.  The responsibilities will include order management and fulfilment, customer and sales relationship management, sourcing materials to meet demand, coordination of internal resources, and health/safety/sustainability.
Responsibilities will include:
- Order Management
- Order receipt, entry and confirmation

- Maximize On Time and In Full delivery


- Customer and Sales Relationship Management
- Communication with Sales Team and customer when required


- Sources Materials to Fulfill Demand
- Read site inventory levels to fulfill orders

- Read supply scheduling plan to maximize communication and planning

- Enters complaints and follows up on recertification of inventory


- Coordination of Internal Resources
- Working with resources to ensure fulfillment of orders and resolution of issues


- Health, Safety and Sustainability
- Active in all forms of HSE reporting

- Proactive in all forms of Sustainability

- Behavior in accordance with the Code of Conduct

- Performs in accordance with the Core Values


 
Local Distribution Center (LDC) Associate
The LDC Associate owns an order from start to finish escalating concerns as needed.  The Associate will impact the Inventory Management function for the facility to include order management and fulfilment, customer and sales relationship management, inventory management, coordination of internal resources, and health/safety/sustainability.
 
Responsibilities will include:
- Order Management
- Order receipt, entry and confirmation

- Management of the order cycle from start to finish


- Customer and Sales Relationship Management
- Communication with Sales Team and customer as required


- Inventory Management
- Managing daily replenishment, safety stock levels and forecasts modifications

- Working with Customer Demand and Supply Planning on inventory support


- Coordination of Internal Resources
- Working with all pertinent resources to ensure fulfillment of orders and resolution of issues.


- Health, Safety & Sustainability
- Active in all forms of HSE reporting

- Proactive in all forms of Sustainability

- Behavior in accordance with the Code of Conduct

- Performs in accordance with the Core Values
