Global HR Reporting Specialist
The role and its responsibilities
This role is part of a newly established global HR Systems & Support team in AkzoNobel’s global HR shared services organization (GBS People Services) and can be either based in AkzoNobel’s corporate center (Amsterdam or Arnhem) or in one of the 5 regional GBS Service Delivery Centers in Warsaw (Poland), Pune (India), Suzhou (China), Sao Paulo (Brazil) or Nashville (USA).
You are responsible for a number of activities, with a particular focus on supporting the enhancement of existing standard reporting tools such as SuccessFactors modules, Workforce Planning & Workforce Analytics, Spotfire, and CruncHR. You also automate reports and build standard templates.
Other core activities involve:
- Maintaining the standard reporting catalogue;
- Providing training on reporting;
- Running ad-hoc reports;
- Gathering reporting needs from the business/customer;
- Acting as a single Point of Contact regarding complex reporting issues and questions.
This requires you to develop queries for reporting and maintain changes to these queries. You also provide insight into data when customers request clarification.
Further, you align with the Master Data Management team to ensure data structures are up to date, and you lead improvement initiatives aimed at cost reductions and standardization that will add business value.
As such, this is a role for candidates who thrive in an environment that requires strong problem solving skills and independent self-direction. You should also have a natural ability for team collaboration and open communication.

Job requirements/Candidate profile

- Master’s degree and a strong interest in HR;
- 3-5 years of experience in a customer focused, support based role (preferably in HR), with two or more years’ experience in reporting and/or analysis of data;
- Experience with Business Intelligence tools;
- Interest in and aptitude for data, metrics and analysis and attention to detail;
- Strong IT skills including advanced level of Excel and PowerPoint, experience with SAP is an advantage;
- Strong conceptualization and visual communication ability;
- Able to add exceptional design and production value, along with real attention to detail;
- Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills, including a high standard of English.
