With your experience of working in a manufacturing environment, you are looking to develop your career in a business that will encourage your input, welcome your ideas and act on them. That business is AkzoNobel. Home to world class products we are looking for a Factory Scheduler to oversee scheduling of paint manufacturing and filling as well as ensuring raw materials and packaging are available to meet customer requirements.
 
As Factory Scheduler you will act as the link between the commercial planning team and the operation, balancing check works orders and when cleared you will schedule wet paint and fillers batches as well as ensure raw materials and packaging are able to meet production requirements and batches are released to meet daily volume targets. You will also prioritise batches to ensure customer orders are achieved and release batches on hold once resources become available. This will involve liaising with colleagues across departments to make sure internal and external customer needs are met. You will update systems and maintain accurate data records as well as record shortfalls too. Important will be the ability to minimise waste and facilitate Monthly Production Review meetings.
 
Educated to A Level or higher you must have a background in manufacturing and experience of ensuring teams deliver on key business drivers covering HSE, service, quality and cost. We will look to you make sure manufacturing activities comply with corporate policies and local legislation. You will support the development of a culture of operational excellence, continuous improvement professionalism and commitment to company values and behaviours. You will also develop people talent to make sure reports are motivated to achieve for customers.
