Awarded Top Employer status and home to world class brands, we are now looking for an Electrical Engineer to support operations in our state-of-the-art paint manufacturing facility in Ashington.
 
As an Electrical Engineer you will part of a team working to ensure that site systems and equipment can meet current and future operational requirements. This will involve taking responsibility for existing equipment, new build electrical systems, and maintaining equipment availability. The role involves responsibility for ensuring compliance to Electrical Safety standards such as DSEAR, ATEX and ISO13849 and quality standards such as ISO9001. As a key member of the engineering team you will also provide engineering support to minimize system downtime by giving expert technical guidance to technicians within our production and engineering teams. Important will be the ability to work in-line with company procedures and safely.
You must have worked in a manufacturing environment and be able to demonstrate experience of regulatory requirements for ECI systems. Your working knowledge of ATEX will be complemented by HV/LV and hazardous energy control experience too. You will also have a thorough understanding of the permit to work process and be conversant with machinery safety legislation. Experience of Management of Change process is also highly desirable. The applicant will be familiar with Maintenance management systems and development of asset tactics to ensure equipment reliability to meet production demands and maintain OEE targets.
