Main Purpose:
Provides consultation to Key Account and Regional Sales teams in specific area of expertise (segment/product) to secure specification position with Key Oil & Gas clients.
Specific tasks:
• Maintains advanced technical knowledge of products in range, providing effective technical sales support to Key Account and Regional Sales teams to secure specification, and where possible, sole specification position.
• Together with Regional Sales teams and Key Account teams, plans, monitors, participates in and reports on the execution of the sales activities conducted with regard to the designated products or segments.
• Develops and executes key target account plans.
• Works closely with marketing to analyze present and future market trends and customer feedback for the relevant product range.
• Proactively leads the introduction of new products to the sales teams and designated customers.
• Supports ongoing training on the features and benefits of the available products/service to customers and sales teams.
• Performs continuous market research among the stakeholders in the entire value chain and maintains professional relationships with the industry stakeholders.
• Identifies and manages key specialist product projects within the region, with support from Regional Sales and Technical teams.
• Identifies significant business opportunities, pinpoints existing and/or potential problem areas and works with Regional Sales and Key Account teams where appropriate to exploit/resolve.
• Acts as link between Research and Development and the Regional teams regarding feedback on the specialist product range to understand how customers are utilizing our products and how well those products align versus competitor products.
• Works with Marketing to identify gaps in our product range for potential future development
Specific tasks (continued):
• Works with Key Account teams and Regional Sales Teams to take brand promotional plans and deploy into relevant accounts.
• Travels as required with Key Account teams and Regional Sales teams to visit major customers and stakeholders in the market.
• Maintains positive relationship with major direct and indirect customers to maintain close contact with the market where relevant.
• Works with Key Account Managers and Regional Sales Managers to ensure effective communication and follow-up along the value chain to deliver sales.
• Systematically up-dates the Customer Relationship Management System with valid, accurate and complete customer-related information.
• Maintains good relationships with major industry stakeholders.
• Promotes the positive company image and develops good customer relations by participating in major customer events.
• Be familiar with all the applicable corporate as well as site policies/procedures with regard to personal conduct and HSE standards and acting in compliance with all applicable regulations.
