Purpose of the job
 
To lead, manage the Procurement Function and contribute to the development and delivery of local, regional and global sourcing strategies
 
 
Job responsibilities
- Manage local and plant specific suppliers
- Leads local change management with regards to QDCIS
- Responsible for local delivery of sourcing strategy
- Contributes to regional and or global sourcing strategies with local requirements
- Contributes to and leads local continuous improvement / ALPS projects
- Key interface with local stakeholders and selected businesses
- Provides cross-category trends, arising supply impacts, budget planning and analyze raw material costs impact
- Act as key interface between sourcing and regional functions (Supply Chain, RD&I and Manufacturing)
- Act as first escalation interface to handle local supplier issues

Job requirements/Candidate profile

Qualifications
- Honors degree in Supply Chain (Masters preferred) or equivalent
- 7 years Procurement Management experience
Technical and behavioral requirements 
- Good project planning and management skills
- Strong negotiation skills
- Passion for numbers and reducing costs
- Exceptional problem solving and analytical skills
- Strong leadership and People management skills
- superior communication / interpersonal skills
- Able to work in matrix structure and comfortable with conflict
- Able to get buy-in and commitment from both internal and external stakeholders
