Product Development Chemist & Senior Development Chemist - 2 positions available
£22,500 - £35,000 per annum

You have a Science degree or some experience of experimentation in a laboratory environment. Now you are looking for a new challenge in a business that will encourage your input, welcome your ideas and allow you to act on them. That business is AkzoNobel. Home to world class brands we are now looking for a senior level Product Development Chemist to support experimental paint work for our R&D operation.
As Senior Product Development Chemist you will develop experimental plans according to a brief, execute them, interpret results and report to stakeholders within agreed timelines. You will also manage small R&D based teams to deliver against specific projects and make recommendations on next steps with regards to experimental programmes. Important will be the ability to prioritise activities and work safely while following company procedures.
With a degree in a science subject (ideally Chemistry) you will have developed laboratory skills coupled with good health and safety awareness. You will need good MS Office and communication skills, an eye for detail and the ability to work effectively in a team. You will also be the sort of person who is passionate about excellence and delivers on commitments.
