Akzo Nobel Manager Wins Young Captain Award

PRESS RELEASE: Akzo Nobel’s Conrad Keijzer has won a leading Dutch management award which recognizes young corporate talent.

Amsterdam, November 13, 2007 – Akzo Nobel’s Conrad Keijzer has won a leading Dutch management award which recognizes young corporate talent.

Keijzer (39), who is General Manager of the company’s Automotive Plastic Coatings business, yesterday received the prestigious Young Captain Award, an annual honor created by the Bilderberg Group, Interlace Executive Search and Dutch newspaper De Telegraaf.

“This award is well deserved and illustrates why we attach so much importance to creating a talent factory within our company,” said Akzo Nobel CEO Hans Wijers. “It highlights Conrad’s strong progress as a leader and underlines the growing recognition—both internally and externally—for our dedicated management development programs.”
