Akzo Nobel’s 2006 Annual Report Wins Accolade

Akzo Nobel’s 2006 Annual Report has been recognized in a highly prestigious global competition which attracted more than 2,000 entries.

Organized by the League of American Communications Professionals (LACP), this year’s coveted Vision Awards ranked Akzo Nobel in the top 50 overall, with the company’s Annual Report being one of only four in the Chemicals sector to receive a Gold award.

Akzo Nobel’s Annual Report (which scored 96 out of a possible 100) was awarded top marks in five of the eight judging categories (Report Cover, Letter to Shareholders, Report Narrative, Creativity and Message Clarity), resulting in an overall ranking of 49. The company was also the highest ranked Dutch-based entry.

In total, 2,500 submissions were received from 21 countries, which the organizers said was an unprecedented level of response, making competition exceptionally tough.
