AkzoNobel Share Buyback Program (Week 18 of 2008)

AkzoNobel has announced that, in line with the launch of its EUR 1 billion share buyback program on March 17, 2008, the company has repurchased 387,500 ordinary shares in the period April 28 until May 2, 2008.

Amsterdam, the Netherlands, May 5, 2008 — AkzoNobel (Euronext  Amsterdam: AKZ) has announced that, in line with the launch of its  EUR 1 billion share buyback program on March 17, 2008, the company has repurchased 387,500 ordinary shares in the period April 28 until  May 2, 2008. Shares were repurchased at an average price of EUR 54.27.

The EUR 1 billion program is the first tranche of a EUR 3 billion share buyback program.

The total number of shares repurchased under this program to date is 3,548,750
shares for a total consideration of EUR 191.6 million.
