Branching Out

Akzo Nobel has signed an exclusive agreement for the supply of its Sadolin® woodcare products with the largest treehouse company in the world.

PearTree (TreeHouse) Ltd, based in Scotland, was set up three years ago, since when the company has created more than 500 custom-built treehouses, with orders coming in from as far afield as France, Switzerland and the Caribbean.

“I’ve always wanted to work with Sadolin as they offer the highest quality wood treatments around,” explained PearTree founder, John Harris. “Our customers expect the very best from us, and with Sadolin we feel confident that they are getting it.”

Added Donna Waites, Retail Marketing Manager for Sadolin in the UK: “PearTree is an extraordinary company and we believe this partnership will give us an edge over our competitors.

“Visually these treehouses are hugely appealing and as a concept very exciting to talk about.”

PearTree builds treehouses for people of all ages, from children’s dens and nursery classrooms to two-storey adult retreats and 30-seater conference suites.

The company is currently busy building the world’s largest treehouse, which will also be coated with Sadolin products.
