Chicago Employees Prepare For Big Move

Employees at Akzo Nobel's Chicago HQ in the USA are preparing to move to new premises.

Employees at Akzo Nobel’s North American headquarters in Chicago are preparing to move to their new downtown offices.

Around 250 people—who work for the holding company and several Chemicals business units—will leave the current offices at Riverside Plaza this weekend (March 14).

Their new home is the nearby Congress Center, situated a block away on West Van Buren Street. The company will occupy the top three floors of the 16-storey building, which adds up to more than 90,000 square feet.

Akzo Nobel has been very innovative in preparing the space by using the newest technologies in modular wall and floor construction. This modular design is more environmentally friendly than conventional construction and will give the new offices a modern appearance.

The design of the new office space also incorporates a lot of glass to provide all employees with natural lighting and a more open environment.
