HPMO Business at U.S. Conference

Members of Akzo Nobel’s High Purity Metalorganics (HPMO) business are attending an industry conference being held in the United States.

Members of Akzo Nobel’s High Purity Metalorganics (HPMO) business will be attending an industry conference being held in the United States.

San Mateo in California is playing host to the fifth annual Strategies in Light event (the longest running conference in the LED industry) from February 2 to 4.

The event is considered to be the premier annual forum for addressing commercial developments in high-brightness LEDs (light-emitting diodes).

Akzo Nobel’s HPMO business supplies process chemicals to the global semiconductor industry which are used to manufacture integrated circuits for the optoelectronic and electronic industries.

These circuits can be found in, for example, amplifiers for mobile phones, light-emitting diodes for streetlights and brake lights in cars, in lasers for telecommunications, welding and medical applications, as well as highly efficient solar cells for satellite power supply.
