Major Relivery Deal

Akzo Nobel’s Car Refinishes Business in the UK has clinched a major relivery contract.

The multi-million pound deal—the first big contract for the company’s newly-formed Vehicle Image Management team—has been signed with Hanson, the world’s second largest supplier of ready-mixed concrete.

The work, which involves the relivery of more than 400 truck mixers into Hanson colors, comes as a result of Hanson’s acquisition of Pioneer International last year.

“The vehicles will be painted in Sikkens products, Bodyshop Services will mix and dispatch the paint, our Graphics Division will manufacture and fit the vehicle graphics and personnel from all three CV brands will be responsible for project management, quality auditing, technical support, finance and administration,” explained Angela Walton-Mowbray from the Vehicle Image Management team.

The relivery work, which has already started, will continue until September 2002.

 The Car Refinishes Graphics Division has also won a contract to supply lifestyle images on the sides of 22 Grampian Food trucks.
