Moses Lake Celebrates

One of Akzo Nobel’s sites in North America recently celebrated its first ten years of operation.

The Eka Chemicals facility at Moses Lake, Washington, marked the landmark occasion by admitting members of the public for the first time since it opened its doors in 1990. They were taken on guided tours and watched various demonstrations.

A special dinner was also held for the site’s 40 employees, 23 of whom were also honored for ten years of service with Eka Chemicals.

Congratulations were also extended by the Mayor of the City of Moses Lake and Commissioners from the Port of Moses Lake and the Grant County Public Utility District.

The Moses Lake plant currently produces approximately 65,000 tons of sodium chlorate each year and primarily serves customers in northwestern USA and Canada.
