Quality Recognition For Korean Site

An Akzo Nobel Coatings factory in Korea has been presented with two quality certification endorsements.

An Akzo Nobel site in Korea has been recognized for the quality of both its environmental management and occupational health and safety systems.

The Shihwa powder coatings factory—which is part of International Paint Korea—has achieved ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 accreditation following an audit by certification body DNV.

A total of 96 people are employed at the site and the success marks an important step in International Paint Korea’s plans to run an Integrated Management System from 2002.

International Paint Korea was established in 1980 and employs a total of 272 people.
