Employees at one of Akzo Nobel's chemicals plants in Norway have achieved ten years without a lost time injury.

Employees at one of Akzo Nobel’s chemicals sites in Norway are celebrating after achieving a safety landmark.

The Pulp and Paper Chemicals plant at Mo i Rana, which operates under the name of Eka Chemicals, has passed ten years without a Lost Time Injury (LTI), a notable achievement within the industry.

The plant—which produces sodium chlorate—employs 31 people and was built in 1990, since when staff have been presented with a number of awards for their environmental and safety efforts.

A small celebration was held recently to mark the ten-year LTI landmark, when all employees also received a special gift.
