Tall Order For Interpon

A building set to become the highest in Buenos Aires is being constructed with significant help from Akzo Nobel.

A building which is set to become the highest in Buenos Aires is currently being constructed with significant help from Akzo Nobel.

The Torre el Faro building—situated in an exclusive financial and residential area of the Argentinean capital—will have 46 floors and measure 170 meters when it is completed.

The company’s Powder Coatings business is supplying more than four tons of its Interpon® D architectural finish, which will be used on metalwork in the building.

Once it is finished, however, the Torre el Faro will still not be the tallest structure in Buenos Aires. That honor will remain with the Torre Espacial, a communications tower which stretches 205 meters into the sky (220 meters to the top of its antenna).

Akzo Nobel is not only the largest global manufacturer of powder coatings, but is also a world leader in powder coatings technology.

The company's Interpon brand has been used on a number of prestigious buildings around the world, including the Petronas Twin Towers in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
