Top Honor For Chief Financial Officer

Akzo Nobel’s Chief Financial Officer, Fritz Fröhlich, has been bestowed with a prestigious honor.

He has been named as the best CFO of all companies listed on the Dutch stock exchange by Management Team magazine.

The publication sought the opinion of major stock market analysts, stockbrokers, financial advisors and bankers to help select a winner, with each contender being assessed in terms of reliability, openness and influence.

Fröhlich, who joined Akzo Nobel in 1991 and became CFO in 1998, emerged as the overall victor, being especially praised for his vision and professionalism.

He beat Jan Hommen of Philips and J.H. Riddell of Hagemeyer into second and third place respectively.

“I am very proud to have received this honor,” he said.

Fröhlich's success was announced just weeks after Akzo Nobel unveiled its best ever third quarter results.
