Vehicle Giveaway Proves Successful

Akzo Nobel’s Car Refinishes North America (CRNA) business gave away nearly 50 cars during December and January as part of its award-winning Acoat selected National Benevolence Program.

Every year, in conjunction with partner bodyshops, the company renovates vehicles that would otherwise be written off or discarded and hands them over to families in need or non-profit organizations.

A total of 48 cars were refurbished and presented to deserving recipients during the latest holiday season, with 43 Acoat selected bodyshops taking part.Launched in 1999, the program involves repair shop employees donating labor, while suppliers donate parts and Akzo Nobel provides the paint.

As well as generating goodwill at local level, the CRNA initiative also improves and promotes the image of the collision repair industry.
