A bright kindergarten inspires bright children in Vietnam

In 30 years, SOS Children's Villages Go Vap Kindergarten in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam has raised nearly 600 children from SOS and thousands more. With so many feet running up and down the halls, it’s no wonder that the campus’ facilities were starting to look a little worn. But that’s nothing a splash of color can’t fix.

Every child deserves access to quality education in an environment that inspires them. So for our first Let’s Colour project with SOS Children’s Villages in Vietnam, we gave this special kindergarten a vivid makeover in consultation with our own color experts at AkzoNobel.

About 40 AkzoNobel employees joined SOS volunteers and young people in the rejuvenation. Bringing fresh and lasting color to the campus required a full system of high-end Dulux paint products including putty, primer and exterior paint – 6,000 liters’ worth!

The end result is a colorful and stimulating environment for children and people of all ages in the community who frequent the space. That’s our approach to sustainability in action.
