Akzo Nobel appoints new Senior Vice President Human Resources

Press Release Akzo Nobel has announced that Heiko Hutmacher will be appointed as the company's new Senior Vice President of Human Resources. He will take up his position on June 1.

Mr. Hutmacher, a German national, joins from IBM where he held the position of Vice President Human Resources for the IBM Global Services business in Europe, Middle East, Africa, based in Paris. He brings to Akzo Nobel extensive experience and knowledge in international Human Resources management.

Mr. Hutmacher previously held responsibility for Human Resources strategy for IBM’s Global Services business worldwide (Somers, USA) in 2001, he led the Human Resources function for IBM in South East Asia (Singapore, 1999 – 2000) and in South Africa (Johannesburg in 1997 – 1998). He introduced Human Resources support for industry sales in IBM Europe, Middle East and Africa (Paris, 1996). Before, Mr. Hutmacher held various managerial and professional positions in the Human Resources function in IBM Germany where he joined in 1984.
