Floating Work of Art

Akzo Nobel has coated a landmark luxury yacht, built in New Zealand, which has been hailed as a shining example of marine art.

The largest motor yacht ever built in New Zealand has been coated with products supplied by Akzo Nobel.

The 48-meter Aria, described as a “piece of marine art,” was crafted by 400 people who dedicated more than 400,000 man-hours to its creation.

Built by Sensation, the largest boat builder in New Zealand, the aluminum vessel has a cruising speed of 22 knots and a range of 5,000 nautical miles at 12 knots.

The exterior was coated with an International Paint system which has seen the gleaming superyacht become Sensation’s flagship.
