The new HQ will form part of a development known as Brouwershof, which will see a large complex constructed in the shape of a horseshoe around a central plaza, with the Akzo Nobel building creating the “spine.”
As well as the new HQ—which will be leased by the company—the project will also include a hotel, a conference venue and a two-storey underground car park.
Situated close to both the current Chemicals headquarters building and the town’s railway station, the new premises will have room for up to 500 employees, with parking for 190 vehicles.
The move is expected to take place at the end of 2006.
