Plain Sailing For Veridian

International Yacht Coatings are helping a rising British skipper in his successful racing exploits.

Alex Thompson approached International when he was looking for a bottom coating for his open 50 mono-hull racing boat

Thompson wanted a product which would be easy to maintain and keep clean and International Yacht’s racing experts suggested Veridian.

An exclusive underwater hull coating, Veridian has been proven to help prevent fouling attaching to the surface, thus providing a measurable speed advantage and noticeable fuel savings.

Since launched last May, Thompson has achieved major success in a number of high profile races, which have provided the perfect testing ground for Veridian.

The 26-year-old took third place in Class II for mono-hulls in the Europe-1 New Man Star, a single-handed transatlantic challenge.

He also set a new record in the Criterion Round Britain and Ireland Race, when he won the FT Clipper Trophy for achieving first place in the IRC Super Zero Division.
