Plaque Inaugurated at Brazilian Decorative Coatings Site

Akzo Nobel’s Decorative Coatings site in São Paulo, Brazil, has officially marked its recent safety achievement with the inauguration of a special plaque.

The Raposo Tavares facility passed a landmark five million hours without lost time injury (LTI), setting what is believed to be a Brazilian and company-wide safety record.

A ceremony was held at the site to mark the achievement, when a golden plaque was inaugurated by Paulo Gonçalves, sub-BU Manager Decorative Coatings Brazil (pictured third from the right).

All the site’s employees attended the event and received a special commemorative gift.

The plaque has been positioned beside two other Akzo Nobel safety awards which were presented to the Raposo Tavares facility in 1996 and 1998.
