The 36-storey Espirito Santo Plaza, located in the city’s financial district, not only houses the Miami headquarters of the Portugal-based Espirito Santo Bank, but is also home to a 203-room hotel and 116 condominium units.
The architectural metalwork of the USD 180 million glass-covered tower was coated with Interpon® D525 ultra-durable architectural powder coating, which was also used on an earlier project, the Westin Hotel in New York.
Officially opened late last year, the Espirito Santo Plaza features USD 22 million worth of Italian glass, with apartments in the complex costing up to USD 1.2 million.
Work on the building’s Conrad Hotel is still being finalized, with bookings being taken from April 1.
