Women Set to be Rewarded

An Akzo Nobel awards scheme recognizing women’s efforts in the U.S. car repair industry is due to reveal the latest winners.

An awards scheme launched by Akzo Nobel’s Car Refinishes business in the United States which recognizes women’s contributions to the car repair industry is due to announce its latest recipients this week.

Launched in 1999, the company’s Most Influential Women in the Collision Repair Industry Awards program honors an elite group of women who are rewarded for excelling in their communities, their industry and their business.

Nominations for this year’s awards closed in June and the judges are currently analyzing the various merits of each entry before the winners are announced on December 5th at a special gala event being held in Florida.

“Each year the nominations have yielded some very gifted and extraordinary individuals,” explained Steven Gornall, director of marketing for Car Refinishes in the U.S.

“There are many inspiring people within this industry and this program has become a testament to the diversity of our industry and the leaders that it fosters.”
