And the Winner Is...

Akzo Nobel is one of five shorlisted companies who are in with a chance of winning an award presented annually by a major Dutch newspaper.

Akzo Nobel is among five companies to have been shortlisted for this year’s Henri Sijthoff Prize.

The award is presented annually by Dutch newspaper Het Financieele Dagblad to honor the best annual report produced by organizations in one of two categories—AEX funds and other funds.

The award was set up in 1954 to promote better reporting of financial results and Akzo Nobel—a previous winner of the prize—has been nominated in the AEX Funds category along with Ahold, ASML, Koninklijke Olie and Reed Elsevier.

The winner will be announced on October 16.
