Marten Booisma new Chief HR Officer AkzoNobel

AkzoNobel today announced the appointment of Marten Booisma as the company’s new Executive Committee Member responsible for Human Resources. He will officially take up the position of Chief Human Resource Officer on October 1st.

Booisma has been Chief Human Resource Officer at Royal Ahold since 2007 and will succeed Marjan Oudeman, who is leaving AkzoNobel to become President of Utrecht University.

"He has significant international HR experience and brings a strong combination of leadership development, business transformation experience, team building capabilities and leadership skills to his new role and our leadership team."

Employed by Royal Ahold since 1999 – when he joined as Director of Management Development Europe – Booisma previously worked for Unilever and Shell in various HR positions.
