After a five-year period of extensive growth at its various businesses in Asia Pacific, Polymer Chemicals is to consolidate its Singapore Marketing Center and the headquarters of a number of its joint ventures and fully-owned subsidiaries into a single regional base of operations.
Shanghai was regarded as being the most logical choice due to the fast-growing polymer market in China and its central location in the Asia Pacific region.
The change will take place during the second half of this year, when a number of offices will be transferred to the new headquarters, including the Asia Pacific Marketing Center in Singapore, the offices of ANA in Seoul and CANP, currently based in Taipeh.
The organization of the new regional base—which will be similar to the regional offices Polymer Chemicals has in Amersfoort, the Netherlands—will be the responsibility of Wilfried Brouwer, who succeeds Bob Margevich as SBU Manager Asia Pacific in July.
