Akzo Nobel’s International Paint business in the USA has secured a prestigious coatings alliance with American energy company Conoco Phillips.
The agreement—which will see around 400,000 liters of International® paint being used each year—was achieved following a joint effort between International’s Marine and Protective Coatings businesses.
It will involve the coating of all Conoco Phillips’ refineries, terminals, pipelines and service stations in the U.S., as well as the company’s worldwide marine fleet.
A wide range of International products will be used, including Interzinc® 22 and 52, Intertherm® 50 and 228, Interfine® 629 HS and 910, Interthane® 990, Interline® 850, Interseal ® 670 HS and Intergard® 475 HS.
Conoco recently merged with Phillips to form the largest refiner of oil and gas in the United States.
