Repair Agreeement Signed

An important new repair deal has been clinched by Akzo Nobel's Car Refinishes business in Brazil.

Akzo Nobel’s Car Refinishes business in Brazil has signed a significant new agreement with import management company the Coimex group.

Coimex, the second largest company in the state of Espirito Santo, is responsible for the warehousing, pre-delivery inspection and repair of vehicles manufactured by Toyota, Kia, General Motors, Jaguar and Porsche.

The new deal means that CR Brazil will be responsible for the repair of these vehicles—totalling around 1,800 a month—most of which are small paint jobs limited to a maximum of two panels.

With the emphasis on avoiding unnecessary delays, warehousing expenses and unsatisfactory results, Coimex is relying on Akzo Nobel’s know-how to achieve fast and reliable repairs.

"For Car Refinishes South America, this new agreement is our first big step into new business fields," said AAM and Services Manager, Evandro Villatoro. "Providing solutions for such niche markets, alongside our traditional bodyshop business, is our response to major shifts in the refinish market."
