By Royal Appointment

Akzo Nobel's International Paint business has helped to restore the British Queen's luxurious motor launch.

The Royal Nore, which is owned by London Port Authority, has been used for many years by members of the royal family—as well as heads of state and film stars—for cruises on the River Thames.

Originally named Nore, the current monarch, Queen Elizabeth II, consented that the vessel be renamed Royal Nore in 1978 in recognition of its numerous royal ceremonial charters.

International Paint’s premium finishes specification, using the two-pack polyurethane Interspray® 900, was the product selected to ensure that the topsides of the prestigious vessel are maintained in pristine condition.

Operated by Woods River Cruises as part of its exclusive Silver Fleet, the Royal Nore is also available for private charter.
