Acoat Spreads Its Wings

A new accident management company is being created in France by Akzo Nobel's Car Refinishes business.

Akzo Nobel is creating a new accident management company in France after joining forces with one of the country’s leading car repairers.

joint venture has been formed by Akzo Nobel Car Refinishes and The Repair Consultancy Company. A letter of intent has been signed to create a new company which will facilitate repairs from work providers to bodyshops.

new company, to be called ABS (Acoat Bodyshop Services), will mirror the successful format already operating in the UK, Belgium and Germany, where it operates as a work provider to bodyshop members of the long-established Acoat selected network.

main focus of the new joint venture will be to support bodyshop members by directing work from insurance companies, fleet owners and car leasing companies into their businesses, as well as providing advice on bodyshop management, technical training and marketing support.

selected—recognized as one of the best-qualified networks in the car repair market—is a European program which Akzo Nobel has already been operating successfully in France for many years.
