Major Brazilian Deal

Akzo Nobel’s Car Refinishes South America (CRSA) business has been appointed the official paint supplier to Brazil’s leading Volkswagen network, Disal-Assobrave.

There are 640 VW dealerships in Brazil and Disal-Assobrave represents the commercial interests of 95 per cent of them. VW is also the leading motor manufacturer in Brazil, with a 31 per cent market share.

“Akzo Nobel’s strengths are not only in its solid organizational structure, but also in the superior quality of its products and services,” said Disal-Assobrave’s commercial manager, Walter Berne Bianchi, at the launch of the new partnership.

Under the agreement, Akzo Nobel’s Sikkens paint brand not only becomes the officially recommended product, but it also becomes part of a new philosophy to be implemented into the Brazilian Volkswagen network.

Working along with Disal-Assobrave, CRSA will develop a specific training program for dealers, advising them on the correct use of product and equipment, bodyshop layout and project consultancy, as well as providing the usual technical support.
